My sense for this year is that the Lord is releasing kings in all areas, business, the church, media and prayer movements.  This is an anointing upon people who will know how to rule and reign in their area of influence.  It brings an understanding of what true dominion is. 

Revelation 5:9-10 speaks about people from every tribe and nation that will reign as kings and now is the time for them to take their place.  There is a release of the spirit of counsel and might and we are heading into a time where kings who have the spirit of counsel and might will be called upon to lead the troops, clothed in light, to penetrate the darkness which is getting darker. The spirit of might will inspire people to great acts of valour as they are led by these great champions of the faith that have been prepared for such a time as this.

These kings will speak into governmental structures, financial institutions, church hierarchy with the wisdom that the spirit of counsel brings.  There will be a recognition from the secular world that this wisdom goes beyond human understanding and it will give great favour in high places.

I know so many people who sent out Christmas cards with the three kings on this year and over half of the ones I received had them on. I believe it is a prophetic sign of the days to come. The gifts that they brought are a message to us in this day of releasing destinies.

Gold speaks of riches, provision, and purification in the business dealings of the nation.  It is a currency that is universal and is received in every nation.  Provision for the Kingdom will be released through the businesses that the Lord is raising up in this hour.  Job 23:10 says “...when he test me I will come out as pure gold”  There has been a testing of Christian businesses, but in this year there will be an unprecedented growth in this area.

Frankincense speaks of restoration, it is healing, soothing and in the word is incense which represents the prayers of the saints.  Prayer will rise to a whole new level of effectiveness as intercessors who have laboured for the Kingdom will receive that kingly anointing which carries the understanding of true dominion.  It represents worship as an offering and the Lord is releasing a new sound which will have the sweet fragrance of heaven and bring healing and deliverance as it is released.

Myrrh represents death to self, these kings are those who have attained Galatians 2:20 they are only living for Christ and have died to self. It speaks of preservation, supernatural protection of those ‘special forces’ who go in to the enemies camp to recover the spoils.  It is like the scroll it is a sweet smell, but has a bitter taste.  The question the Lord is putting to us is “are we willing to drink the cup, eat the scroll”  which will bring healing and deliverance to nations.

These were all gifts given to kings and the Lord is giving them to those who are open to receive and to those who have paid the price to rule and reign as kings in this hour.
