prayer is hearing the heart of God, discerning His desires rather than just petitioning Him with ours.
This foundation-
listening to the Lord, discerning His voice -is what prophetic prayer is all about.
Let's hear what the prophets are saying, hear what intercessors are being burdened with, hear the sounds of the Spirit and laying aside our own desires...

Welcome to Ears to Hear!
A Canadian Prophetic Newsletter, the cooperative effort of City Prayer Leaders from across Canada and the Canadian Prophetic Council. In Ears to Hear we share key words and prayer direction we we are hearing the Lord speak to us on a monthly basis. Ears to Hear is a forum for timely prophetic words, filled with encouragement, vision, and revelation of God's heart for the nation of Canada.
But even more- Ears to Hear is a call to focus intercession with
unity and fervency in the prayer direction the Lord is revealing to the Church in Canada. It's about us together discerning the burden of the Lord and awakening intercession like never before!

We strongly encourage you to take the time to read these both, remembering that Jesus rebuked the crowds for not being able to discern the times and seasons in their nation.

O Canada

The nation of Canada is at a critical point in it's development. It
is standing at a crossroads, about to choose the path that the nation will walk down for the next several generations. One path will lead to prosperity and blessings, but the other path (which looks attractive to many) will lead to destruction and despair. And the Lord has put the power within His people to determine which path their nation will choose. He has given them authority in prayer and intercession, but they must stand and use it before it is too late!

Seizing the Window

In the last few days I have felt an increasing urgency to re-highlight the key window of time that we are in currently for the nation and the importance of SEIZING it. There are a few prophetic windows that have been identified for Canada and are about to close. In the way of cursory insight, however, I would like to first of all share with you something the Lord spoke to me this past fall regarding the 5 CRYs mandate we have been stewarding.
WHY 5 CRYS IN THIS 12 MONTH WINDOW?
When the Lord spoke to us in the fall of 2006, about having 5 CRYs in 5 cities over a 12 month window (spring of 2008-2009) I did not completely understand the significance. All I knew is that we were hearing the voice of the Lord and that we needed to walk in radical faith knowing that it would make sense looking back. Healing for the Nations
In this new section E2H will be highlighting nations that the Lord is asking Canadians
to focus their prayers on.
While there are needs everywhere, some nations are particularly key at a particular time.
This month we call for prayer for America and England. Pray for the new administration in the United States whose decisions and direction will impact the globe.
Pray also for England, one of our "parent nations" that she would come into the fullness of her national calling. Pray that God would restore that which has been lost, not the empire spirit, but the fire of revival and global missionary zeal. Let us bow our knees and cry out for the healing of the nations.

1.Restore: Pray for the Lord to restore regions, cities, churches (and even personal callings), to His original intent. Our failings and the enemy's destruction have prevented many of these original purposes from being realized. Pray now for a mighty work of restoration.
2.Stand on Guard: As we have been prophetically exhorted to stand on guard for Canada, let us be very alert and vigilant in this hour. Pray that no destructive spiritual forces would be allowed in to cross our borders. Pray the words of the national anthem for the nation.
3.Connections and Unity: Cry out in this time for divine connections in the Body of Christ, that life-giving, Kingdom increasing, relationships would be established. Pray for greater and deeper unity to flow in relationships all through the Body.
4.The Arts: The Kingdom arts are springing up in the nation. Pray for every expression to be pure, vibrant and filled with the Lord's incredible creativity. Pray for singers, painters, dancers, cinematographers, musicians, and more to all be protected as they seek to express the heart of the Father. Pray for new doors to open so these expressions can be released.
5.Newfoundland and Labrador: Contend for Newfoundland & Labrador during this unique time of celebrating 60 years since they joined Confederation. Pray for them to truly "seek first the Kingdom of God" (their provincial motto). Pray for the CRY that will bring the eyes of the world to this unique province-the cornerstone of the continent, on Feb 21.
