Welcome to Cityscape's monthly prayer bulletin for the Vancouver region. Here we feature some of the prophetic sounds that are being heard by intercessors and prophetic people in the Vancouver area, and give you some guidance as to how you can align with these in prayer. We also share about key prayer and city-wide events that are coming up that you won't want to miss! On occasion we will call for prayer for another city in Canada so that we can support what God is doing across the nation!

Honouring our Fathers
We are pausing this month to honour and celebrate the life and ministry of Pastor Bob Birch as he approaches his hundredth birthday in late December.
Pastor Bob has been a father, an inspiration and a mentor to many of the leaders of the Church of Canada. His devotion to the Lord, to intercession for the nation and to building bridges of unity have profoundly influenced a whole generation of leaders.
We have no way of knowing how deeply our nation has been impacted by the prayers of this godly pastor, often called The Apostle of Prayer for Canada. But we know that we are reaping blessing that we have not sown. (Deut 6:10,11) It is our prayer at Cityscape that we will follow in the way we have been shown and the next generation will reap even greater blessings.
Please pray for Pastor Bob and his family as his health is failing.
November Prayer Directives
1. Laying hold of the Promises- Vancouver has been given many promises by the Lord. Let us be like the saints of Hebrews 11 who obtained what was promised by faith. (Heb 11:33) This requires us being unwilling to let go until He blesses us. Dig up the promises, and begin to war for them once again.
2. Government- Tim Schindel is serving as the Chaplain for the MLAs in Victoria. There have been recent breakthroughs and much favour given to this chaplaincy ministry. Let's stand with the Church of Victoria in prayer for the MLAs to be touched by the love of God.
3. Justice- There is a strong cry in intercession rising for justice. Lift up your voice for the ones that have not been protected and cared for. Contend for historic wrongs to be made right. Pray for children in vulnerable situations, pray for the 1st Nations, pray for the unborn to be protected.
4. Olympics- Pray that the Church in Vancouver will be prepared to be a powerful tool of redemption during the 2010 Olympics. Pray that we hear God's strategies now for how He wants to work, and unite together to see His plans unfold.
5. Embrace the New- Old religious mind sets are giving way to the life of the Kingdom of God. Pray for the new wineskins, new expressions, new advancements! The Kingdom of Heaven advances forcefully, let's lay hold of it in prayer!
Siege Vancouver in Prayer!
Join us for the second of four "PUSHES". (Pray Until Shifts Happen), a time of contending for the promised revival in Vancouver. A time of unleashing our hearts in abandoned worship.
In the midst of the busiest time of the year, let's give an offering of passion to the Lord!
We are moving from the east to the west of the city, and the remaining PUSHES will be in the north and south. Join us as we fight for the City of Vancouver to become a hotbed of revival.
