As well there are many pictures and stories of life here in Ottawa at the National House of Prayer, covering everything from staff profiles, poetry and visiting the Memorial Chapel on Parliament Hill.
1.Pray for our M.P.s as they return to Ottawa after being in their home ridings over the Easter break. Four new Parliamentarians will be in their seats as a result of the by-elections.
2. Pray for our Senators that they may receive godly wisdom to consider the important legislation that comes before them and for a spirit of cooperation with the "Lower House".
3. Pray for the team of leaders led by David Anderson M.P. who are preparing for the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast on May 15th. They are aiming for 1000 attendees this year!

Sometimes we find ourselves right in the middle of events here in Ottawa. A few days ago there was a large but peaceful demonstration outside the Chinese Embassy nearby.
It caused us to take the whole matter to prayer. See what we blogged about it on our daily NHOP BLOG.
The M.P.s are back in Ottawa next week and with them prayer teams will be filling up our centre for many weeks. Due to a couple of cancellations we have the weeks of April 21-25, and May 26-30 open for bookings. Also if you have a smaller team give us a call about where we might be able to fit you in with an existing booking. We want to provide full prayer coverage on Parliament Hill.

Looking for Intercessors
We had a great response last year when we put out a call for people to partner in prayer with the "Imagine" congress. The same Church Planting Canada effort will be held again in Calgary in Nov. 2009. Send a note to richard@nhop.ca if you are interested in learning more. Check out the CPC website for more info.
